Beat Bucher
Beat has been using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains since version 7.x back in 2003. Learned up the ins & outs of the system, mainly by creating reports and Excel queries linked to the back-end of the Great Plains system. Migrated in one company the Manufacturing system from HLM (Horizon Light Manufacturing) to the Microsoft Manufacturing module with Forecasting and resource planning. Currently running GP2010R2 SP3 and working for the retirement of FRx 6.7 and Forecaster 7.0 as financial reporting solution to replace it with Management Reporter 2012. He has a very good knowledge of the Great Plains security model since the switch from the 'optimistic' mode in GP 9.0 to the 'pessimistic' mode where by default all the resources are denied to a new user. Beat was awarded in April 2015 the prestigious Dynamics GP MVP Award for his contribution to the user community over the past 10 years. He's currently working on the upgrade from GP 2010R2 to GP 2015 with the transition from the Business Portal 5.0 to the Dynamics GP Web client.
