You're Registered!

Join Béat Bucher and Steve Erbach, GPUG All-Stars, as they show you how to use everybody's favorite program (Microsoft Excel!) to give you two ADVANCED GP Administrator's Dashboards; with a high-res view of which users are doing what in GP; GP record locks; disconnected SQL sessions using up GP licenses; stuck GP batches; and a highly attractive, C-Level graph of weekly GP user activity! You'll learn how it's done step-by-step. Better yet: you get to take them home with you to install! This is DEEP TECH!

Learning Objectives:

• Take back plug-and-play GP Admin Dashboards to use immediately on your own servers
• Learn useful techniques for Excel Connections to GP
• Discover the amazing potential for GP Admin monitoring and control in something you already own: Microsoft Excel!

Beat Bucher
Beat has been using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains since version 7.x back in 2003. Learned up the ins & outs of the system, mainly by creating reports and Excel queries linked to the back-end of the Great Plains system. Migrated in one company the Manufacturing system from HLM (Horizon Light Manufacturing) to the Microsoft Manufacturing module with Forecasting and resource planning. Currently running GP2010R2 SP3 and working for the retirement of FRx 6.7 and Forecaster 7.0 as financial reporting solution to replace it with Management Reporter 2012. He has a very good knowledge of the Great Plains security model since the switch from the 'optimistic' mode in GP 9.0 to the 'pessimistic' mode where by default all the resources are denied to a new user. Beat was awarded in April 2015 the prestigious Dynamics GP MVP Award for his contribution to the user community over the past 10 years. He's currently working on the upgrade from GP 2013R2 to GP 2018 and the replacement of the Business Portal 5.0
